Maryland Decision Tree

The Maryland Trauma Decision tree is based on the guidelines developed by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) describing field triage for injured patients.  It incorporates physiologic symptoms with mechanisms of injury and other risk factors into an evidenced-based algorithm ensuring patients at risk for serious injury are appropriately triaged to a trauma center.
