Stop the Bleed Day is May 20, 2022

National Stop the Bleed Day is a call to action designed to provide everyone with easy access to resources to get trained, get Stop the Bleed equipment, or to get involved in one of the largest public health campaigns in our country. 

This 2022 Stop the Bleed Day, Raise your hand for #stopthebleed! STB is a volunteer-led effort to save lives. If you have raised your hand to volunteer and contribute to STB, share your “Raise Your Hand for #stopthebleed” on social media using the PDF print out below. Be sure to tag TraumaNet and use #stopthebleed, #raiseyourhand, and #beprepared in your post. 

Stop the Bleed Training Kit Grant Program

The STB training Kit Grant Program provides training kits suitable to be used to teach the Stop the Bleed Course hands on, American College of Surgeons, STB Course and other Department of Defense approved STB courses. Grantees will receive 1 (one) training kit, delivered to their location free of charge, $1000 value. 

2022 Stop the Bleed Scholarship Program - National

The 2022 STB Scholarship Program provides winning students with monies toward post secondary education and the schools of the winning students will receive free STB Kids. (two sets of National Scholarships – video submission and essay submission)

Eligible: All High School Students in the U.S. 

Deadline to Apply: May 5, 2022

Make a 1-2 minute video or 250-500 word essay answering one of the three topics listed on the website.

2022 Stop the Bleed Front Line Families Scholarships

The Front Line Families Scholarships were created to assist students who’s parents are frontline workers during the COVID-19 Pandemic. 

Eligible: High School Students who have a parent or guardian who has been on the Front Line since the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic. 

Deadline to Apply: May 5, 2022

Write an essay or make a video telling us your family’s story – what your parent/guardian has been doing on their frontline and what you have learned from that.

2022 Stop the Bleed Trainathon

Be apart of the first Stop the Bleed Trainathon!

The Trainathon is a month-long call to action for the public to take a STB course during May 2022.

STB instructors can register their classes they plan to teach on the STB training platform so community members can take the class. Sign-ups begin the first week of April.
