Who: nurses, pre-hospital clinicians and all healthcare providers involved  in care of trauma patients. 

Fee: $25 Virtual, $ 40 in-person for employees, $50 in-person for non-employees.

Pre-hospital Care Clinicians: 6 Hours of MIEMSS Credits 

Objectives
1. Identify and screen domestic violence patients
2. Properly care and advocate for domestic violence patients
3. Understand history and development in trauma surveys
4. Compare the primary and secondary surveys in different trauma modes
5. Recite common pitfalls in the trauma assessments
6. Understand benefits of POCUS (ultrasound) in EMS to assist with proper hospital destinations
7. Understand common patterns of self and peer mental distress
8. Describe two methods of mental health first aid to self-perform or coach in a time of crisis
9. Understand indications for ED thoracotomy
10. Review ED thoracotomy procedural steps and roles
11. All learners will have an awareness level understand of the medical component resources available during a type 1 FEMA urban search & rescue deployment
12. All learners will have the ability to cite one change or validation in their clinical or operational practice from urban search & rescue medical component
