related to all aspects of trauma care delivery

The Committee On Trauma

The mission of the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma is to develop and implement meaningful programs for trauma care in local, regional, national, and international arenas. These programs must include education, professional development, standards of care, and assessment of outcomes.

The Maryland Committee on Trauma

Over the past ten years, the Maryland COT has truly enjoyed a full and productive life. Under the outstanding leadership of Sharon Henry, MD, FACS, many ACS courses were set in motion, providing a wide range of educational activities designed to optimize the care of the trauma patient and enhance the professional development of all interested trauma providers in the State.

The Society of Trauma Nurses advocates for the highest level of quality trauma care across the continuum.

The American Trauma Society

The American Trauma Society is dedicated to the elimination of needless death and disability from injury. For nearly 50 years, ATS has served as an advocate for the trauma care system, trauma prevention programs, and the victims of trauma and their families throughout the United States. Our goals are to prevent injury whenever possible, and to ensure optimal treatment of trauma when it does occur.

Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma

The Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST) provides a forum for the exchange of knowledge to advance the care and rehabilitation of the injured patient.
